Description
Telco Systems NTU-1006-S-B Modem EdgeLink VTU10 1 port RJ-45 10BaseT NT modem with SP support Simple Type: Modem EdgeLink VDSL modems, the VTU10, VTU-S and LTU-S are used to connect end users to the VDSL system using standard Ethernet and IP technology. All modems have a built-in POTS splitter that allows the connection of analog phone lines alongside IP enabled equipment. Network Termination Unit modems are intended for end users. The VTU modems terminate VDSL signals received from a splitter or an LTU-S modem and convert the signals to either voice or data traffic. LTU-S, Line Termination Unit, modems have a complementing polarity to that of the VTU-S modems and are intended solely for the purpose of point-topoint connection between two end points, one with an VTU-S modem and one with an LTU-S modem, at distances of up to 1.8 kilometers over a standard telephony infrastructure. In a VTU-S/LTU-S modem pair application, end users can talk to each other only if traffic is aggregated to another part of the network by one of the end users.
