Unlike repeaters the MiLAN C1111 converts without re-timing data or reducing the total number of repeaters allowed within a given network topology. The C1111 Ethernet media converter quickly converts any 10BASE2 thin-coax cabling to UTP (10BASE-T) cabling. C1111 provides maximum configuration flexibility with external MDI-X MDI switch for Hub/Switch or PC connection or other converters without the need for special UTP cables. In addition a Coax termination switch provides the appropriate installation flexibility at any point in the network.
