LS CABLE U6250-04-RBL3 Cable - Category-6, 23AWG, UTP, 8C Solid Bare Copper, 250MHz, Riser Rated, PVC Jacket 1000ft. BLUE Simple Type: Cable This Cat 6 cable is packaged as a 1000ft spool that rotates inside it's box for an easy tangle-free pull. It features a specialized print legend that will display a countdown from 1000 feet to 0 feet (as well as from 305 meters to 0 meters), so that you know the exact length of the cable left in the box. Because we care about quality, this product is fully UL, ETL, and DELTA Verified for guaranteed performance and safety standards compliance. It is also fully RoHS compliant. This high quality product from LS Cable supports Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 155 Mb/s ATM, and many multimedia applications, as well as can be used as standard telephone wire or for installing many types of 24 volt amplified and 70 bolt commercial paging speaker systems. This cable design is accepted world wide as the standard for global commercial network installation. Every single master reel is tested individually before it leaves the factory to make sure that it is in compliance with electrical performance standards. This is a standard Cat 6 cable design with 4 twisted pairs of 23 gauge conductors. It is designed to support future applications such as 10 gig Ethernet up to 60 meters, and will support all other variations of Ethernet up to 100 meters. When this Cat 6 cable is installed with approved Cat 6 jacks, patch panels, 110 blocks, and patch cords by an LS Cable certified contractor, the complete network cabling system can be eligible for a manufacture backed system warranty.

Cat 6 plenum cable is used in buildings where fire codes require fire retardant cables. Because it is a very easy place to hide cables, plenum areas (the space between the real ceiling and drop ceiling, often used to circulate air for heating and air conditioning) of a building are a very common space to run network cable and other communications cables, allowing for a much cleaner looking installation. However, these plenum ceilings can become fire hazards. Because of the fresh stream of oxygen, if a fire reaches a plenum space, the oxygen can feed and spread through the entire building.
